It's obvious that dealing with this is tearing you apart I'd like
to try to say I could help you more, but I've already done my
part. We'll try to talk through this affliction, we'll talk the
whole night through but when she comes around again you'll say
you feel like she needs you Well, I can't believe that you're
willing to be afflicted because weakness and love are not one in
the same Why can't you try to understand, why can't you walk
away? I walk a lonely path in a lonely town but I'd rather live
this way than to suffer Subjugation from a self-obsessive queen
You didn't want to believe she's not what she seems you close
your eyes so you can't see, and you can't hear a word I say Is
anybody there really listening, does anybody hear? You lift her
up again and when she's up again she won't even let you near And
now you're sitting all alone staring again at the telephone you
think she's thinking of you, but she's not thinking of you her

greener on the other side because you want what you can't have,

I'm not trying to be her enemy, I'm trying to be your friend
Sometimes I want to scream "what's wrong with you? don't
turn your back again " Is anybody there really listening
does anybody hear? You lift her up again and when she is up
