The Condemned

Time passes slowly as I stand on the brink of death
Betrayed by the life I lead, hands shake with a violent grasp
Choices Iʼve made in life have resurfaced just to torment me
Thereʼs a cry coming from inside begging only just to be set free
Through this life Iʼve suffered just like the rest of the crowd
Yet they stand here on this day tossing stones at the innocent
