Night presses in upon the glass
I pace the empty routes
My footsteps echo, memories grasp
And fill the growing gloom
I wear my silence like a shield
A calm that none can break
The storm is buried deep within
Waiting for its stake
I am the fire you'll never see
The hand that strikes necessity
I weigh the loss, I count the dead
And feed the flames, the lives I've bled
Through the sterile halls I move unseen
My purpose sharp, my breath held thin
To end the hand that forged my chains
I walk the path of sin
No turning back, no breaking free
The cause consumes what's left of me
I am the fire you'll never see
The hand that strikes necessity
I weigh the loss, I count the dead
And feed the flames, the lives I've bled
The mask is gone, the fire still burns
But I no longer know which way to turn
The cause remains, the night is long
But, without him, where do I belong?
