Prince of darkness

Saint Francis of Assisi in ecstasy
Birth of baroque, Michelangelo Merisi
Rome, Malta, Sicily to Napoli
Where he died in mystery

Revolutionary painter in time
Being hunted, hunted for a crime
He didn't spare any effort
Handling the brush and the sword

Like a prince of darkness
The Medusa leaves you breathless
Anti-chamber of death and decline
He didn't know where to draw the line

Against the form of the masters
An enigma without answers
Religion, canvas of scandal
Man of genius, although mental

Michelangelo, Merisi, Caravaggio
