Hitch

A lonely, but sheltered youth
Compounded by his weight issues
Severe punishment, so he understood
Meaning of injustice trickled through
Later on he became a draftsman
Advertising designer for a cable company
The only thing he could do and present
Ubiquitous angst and fantasy

Iconic, influential film director
Pioneer of suspense and thriller style
A droll sense of humour
Making you take fright, then smile

Moving to Hollywood in the thirties
There he got world-wide fame
From silent films to talkies
Ingenious plots remained the aim

Alfred Joseph Hitchcock
Suspense, fear and shock
