Facing The Beast

Hide behind a masquerade
A total normal life charade
Playing the character, playing the game
Day in day out you act the same

You are your own percepted self
You hide the beast (your shadow self)
Strengthened by the social mind
The laws of beasts called human kind

In others you may see its face
Projecting you, your own disgrace
Not until you face the beast
Will you be free to be

The world as you've been taught to see
Fades into obscurity
The awakening of the world beyond
Will free you from your mind
