Brave Feet

My path is forged by a heart
With brave feet
Even when tired
I always risk taking one more step

I fall, I shatter
But I pull myself together
For I know what I want
And that my path
Is one only I can tread

I've lived through so much in this short time
Every time I get up, I find a new bruise
There's no room left for scars on my body

And here is what I've learned

Follow your instincts, do it for yourself
The one living in your own skin
Is the one who decides what to do
Don't wait for input from others
There are more people ready to knock you down
Than to lift you up, so accept it

And you can walk away, without a heavy conscience
Your brave feet can handle this road
Today you want one thing
And tomorrow it might be another
But that's okay, it's all okay

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you have to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you have to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you have to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

If you feel someone wishes you well
Keep them close, my dear
But if you feel the opposite
Run far, far, far away
Do it for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you have to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you need to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

If you feel someone wishes you well
Keep them close, my dear
But if you feel the opposite
Run far, far, far away
Do this for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you need to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you need to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself

As the wise one said, the universe conspires in your favor
But you need to do your part, too
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
Do it for yourself, do more for yourself, always for yourself
