Babel Burns

Bricks of pride, they scraped the sky
Tongues gone mad, no one knows why
They built their throne on holy lies
God descended with wrath in his eyes

Distorted chants and broken stones
Ecstatic screams, flesh and bone
Shattered tongues, insane brains
Blood ran down like holy rain

Ash dances where dreams once stood
Sky cracked and hell imposed
Steel and smoke, a tower torn
From the mouths of men reborn

Echoes curse those who dared
Now the sky is never spared
