When I Rise

Where I lie
All the bones in my body are
Set into the ground
I take the train to the river of the city
With a shiver I will lay my body down

But when I rise
My bones will creak
My limbs will sleep no more

My feet will thunder as they hit the floor
And my eyes are tired
But my heart, it begs for more

It's been a long dirt road
And the fire shines behind me
Every wind and snow
Every morning, the coal that lights me

When the demons come around
