From The Shadows

From the shadows, out of silence, waiting, now my time comes
Long I've slept for, always dreaming, passion, hunger, combined
Now I sense my soulless fire burning, yearning, released
Sorrow for my prey not felt, my coldness like the night
Raping, feeding, feeling power, power from their downfall
Nothing save the cries till sunrise, music of unholy night

Thus forsaken, always hunted by the few who know me
Through the ages none prove worthy and their blood I've savored
Thus the hunt continues onward, this time fanned by passion
He the father of a son whose soul now burns in me
Round the world he journeys forth, revenge his only passion now
Soon his life I'll take and reunite him with fallen son

Close he follows, near he reaches, tracking bodies I've left dry
Flight I take, my wings spread wide, to sanctuary, home I fly

So I stand to face my battle, one more soul I'll send down
Fathers, sons, they're all the same, one by one they are mine
Strong he fights and long he stands but in the end he falters
Proud am I to claim his strength and drink now of his soul
Power coursing through my veins, the passion quenching all my thirst
So I'll sleep to wake again when shadows call their silent song
